Run!

In high school I was a competitive runner. Running is a painful but wonderful sport. My two daughters have run cross-country and track and so they also know the exhilaration that comes with running. The sense of freedom, conquest of laziness, movement, “aliveness,” that comes from running long and hard and fast - it is hard to describe. If you are a runner you know what I mean.

Well, there is a verse in the Bible that brings all of that exhilaration of running back to mind when I read it. It is (more…)
